Samantha Leaves Leigh for Colorado

Well, Samantha's leaving tomorrow morning for Colorado and as I've expressed, I can not leave the children to enjoy a vacation with my best friend so... Although we will miss each other, I will be sure to stay in very close touch with my Samantypants and do everything I can to make sure our relationship stays fresh and alive during our time apart. I LOVE YOU SAMANTHA

Lumberjack Worthy Flapjacks.

This morning Samantha and I got a hankerin for some tastey lumberjack quality flapjacks so here's what we cooked up. Couldn't find any chocolate chips so we put cocoa powder in the mix. It didn't work as well as planned but definately gave them a rich brown color.


you can see how my plate has an attempted octopus, mickey mouse and dog shaped pancake. They may not have been beautiful but they tasted scrumptuous.

Leigh's Perspective

Leigh here. And yes, Lake City does look very beautiful, but unfortunately I have signed up to help some needy neighborhood children enjoy their summer through the presence of Jesus Christ at Vacation Bible School. Two months ago I agreed to be the kindergarten teacher and since the lady in charge of it at my church came by today and dropped off the kindergarten teacher's packet along with a very long speech of gratuity... I am sorry to say... I will not be joining Samantha in Lake City :(

The children need me. and I need them. and we all need Jesus. Lake City will be there for me next summer. But as of this summer, my heart belongs to the children.



Don't worry children! Mama's comin! and I'm sure Samantha will understand.

Destination Lake City, Colorado

As anyone who is anyone should know, I am going to Colorado on the 19th and Leigh is having some difficulties on saying yes to joining me. So this post is to help her understand what she'd be missing out on and why she must come with me.

Now Leigh is worried because she gets back from her trip with her family from Tennessee on the 18th the day before we will leave. But she can obviously sleep in the car on the way to Arizona State University which I really need her by my side to help me figure out if ASU is really the right school for me.

I know she wants to come, so she needs to follow her gut and say yes so i can tell my parents she's coming.

Pancake Loss

Good morning America, this is Leigh G. It is almost 12 of the clock on monday morning and Samantha and I are about to embark on a journey to find lunch. The original plan was to make chocolatey chocolate chip pancakes in the shapes of miscillanious animals (octopi were a favorite) but since we can not figure out how to make the pancakes... we are at loss to find some other nonpancake related lunch. Chocolate octopus pancakes, you will have to wait.

First Post.

Alas,

This is Samantha writing to Leigh's and my blog child. This blog was on a whim and I'm not very sure what will come from it...other than the fact that the public will see how beautiful and awesome we are. So be thankful we put the time and effort into this blog child baby of ours.

Today is the Fourth of July, Happy Independence Day America! Leigh and I have had an exciting day and have an even more fun evening planned. B3 J3@LuZ. We went to the dollar movies with Emily S. SH0UT 0UT! and saw Oceans, great movie. Sparks the old "wanna be a marine biologist" again...dang sharks.

I am going to my cabin in Lake City later in the month and I AM bringing the blog child's second mother, Leigh, along whether she likes it or not. And we'll have a lot of fun and can regularly update our blog child when we go into town.

Right now, Leigh is in the shower. So I am typing all this because I don't know what to do without her...even if she is a midget. Well yes I am going to finish this now.
